Good news for Kodak Black fans. The XXL Freshman rapper is set to be released from lock up sometime today or tomorrow. Kodak had his hearing in Fort Lauderdale, Florida today where he was facing charges of false imprisonment, robbery without a weapon, operating a vehicle without a viable license and possession of marijuana. His legal team entered in a no contest plea to all charges, which the Judge accepted and proceeded to sentence him to one year of house arrest and five years of probation. The judge also withheld adjudication, granting Kodak the freedom to tour internationally.

Expect to hear from Kodak shortly.

Update (via SS):

It turns out rapper Kodak Black won’t be getting out of jail as soon as expected, the Broward Sheriff’s Office says.

According to a Broward Sheriff’s spokeswoman, it was discovered during the process of releasing Black from the Broward Main Jail in downtown Fort Lauderdale after his court hearing Tuesday that the rapper had two active arrest warrants.

“One of them is a no-bond hold,” said Joy Oglesby. “At this point he’s still going to be in jail. He’s not going to be released.”
