Tommy Richman Drops New Video “Elephant In The Room”
Tommy Richman continues adding to the excitement of his breakout success with his new music video for “ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM” from his debut album, “COYOTE.” The DMV-native first teased the video yesterday by posting a snippet on Instagram, letting fans know it was on the way.
Directed by Elan Alexander and Nicholas Buckwalter, the cinematic video opens with Tommy donning the thematic clown makeup from his album, accompanied by an actual elephant on his dressing room table, immediately setting a surreal tone. The footage quickly cuts to Tommy rehearsing with his band backstage, but when he steps through the curtains, he is transported to a lively party—a metaphor for the pressure to perform in public.
The video crescendos to a dramatic conclusion as Tommy confronts the now-massive elephant, with the studio set’s walls collapsing around him, leaving a lasting impression of catharsis and self-awareness.
The new video follows last month’s “ACTIN UP.” The early 2000s inspired turn-up anthem showcased Tommy’s unmatched vocal versatility, embracing a high-octane, party-driven energy reminiscent of his viral hits “MILLION DOLLAR BABY” and “DEVIL IS A LIE.”

COYOTE comes as Tommy Richman’s debut album following the record-breaking star being signed to fellow DMV-native Brent Faiyaz’s label, ISO Supremacy/PULSE Records. The LP contains songs that began years ago when Tommy was broke and lonely but confident in his art. In early 2024, he finalized these sketches and ideas in the desert.
The rugged terrain and big skies inspired Tommy, who sees COYOTE as a thematic follow-up to his 2022 E.P., ALLIGATOR, and the second installment of his ANIMAL Trilogy. COYOTE is about artistry and range. After years on the grind, the new album will close out a dominating 2024, during which Tommy’s “MILLION DOLLAR BABY” debuted at number 2 on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart, and hit number 1 on Billboard’s Global 200 chart. It also set the record for the longest running #1 song on the Tik Tok Billboard Top 50, holding the spot for 10 weeks in a row following its release.
The track became the #1 Overall Streaming Track (all genres) and the #1 Audio Global Streaming Track (all genres), achieving radio success across five different musical formats, including peaking at #1 on Top 40, Urban and Rhythmic Billboard and Mediabase charts, and reaching the Top 5 on the Pop radio charts. Tommy also completed his first headlining tour, which was sold-out at every show.
