Death Row Records & Charlie Bereal Release Short Film ‘The Greatest Love Story’
GRAMMY-nominated multi-instrumentalist and renowned music producer Charlie Bereal returns with his latest artistic endeavor, The Greatest Love Story. Directed by Jo Lenz and co-directed by Snoop Dogg, the short film blends cinematic storytelling with the soundtrack from Charlie’s recently released debut album, Walk With The Father, out now via Death Row Records/gamma.
In The Greatest Love Story, Charlie Bereal plays an aspiring musician who arrives in Los Angeles, hoping to jumpstart his music career. Staying with his fiancée, who’s been tirelessly working behind the scenes to connect him with industry people, Charlie’s life takes a turn when a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity presents itself—a competition offering a million-dollar prize and a Death Row Records deal. As Charlie pushes for his future, he navigates the complexities of love, ambition, and keeping faith.
Starring Juluah Taylor, Bigg Jah, and Danny Boy, the short film pays homage to classic Black comedies while infusing inspiring elements, serving as both a cinematic experience and a platform for Bereal’s powerful new album Walk With The Father. Blending classic retro soul with R&B, the soundtrack showcases his continued growth as an artist, storyteller, and visionary.
With the success of his debut album, Charlie Bereal cements himself as an exciting artist to watch under the revitalized Death Row Records.
