SAILORR Shares New Single “CUT UP”

Following the release of her Summer Walker-featuring remix for breakout hit “POOKIE’S REQUIEM,” which is currently sitting at #10 on the Billboard R&B Charts, Florida crooner and COMPLEX R&B Artist To Watch In 2025, SAILORR, has just shared her new singleCUT UP” –– out now via BuVision/10K Projects.

Set against a backdrop of lush synths, “CUT UP” is a bass-heavy ballad that finds SAILORR speaking candidly to a potential partner, oscillating between love-struck confessionals (“Cook you rice and be the perfect wife you show off to your family“) and witty warning shots (“Might cut up all these photos of us/I ain’t never had trust“) with her signature humor and flair.

SAILORR first exploded onto the scene late last year with the aforementioned “POOKIE’S REQUIEM,” which was originally released last November, debuted at #1 on the Spotify US Viral Charts by December, and was added to Apple Music’s Zane Lowe playlist 25 for 25. The infectious breakup anthem quickly garnered millions of streams and became a TikTok sensation bolstered by her viral performance of the song on ‘From The Block‘ and ‘On The Radar.’ “CUT UP” is her second outing of 2025 and also follows December’s “W1LL U L13?.”

Born to Vietnamese immigrant parents and raised in Jacksonville, Florida, SAILORR held down various odd jobs to fund her music career, taking inspiration from a rich artistic lineage that includes Destiny’s Child, Lauryn Hill, André 3000, and Erykah Badu. She gained attention on TikTok in mid-2024 with a string of song snippets, turning heads for her dreamy vocals, sharp songwriting, and a transcendent sound that blurs the lines between pop and R&B.

Now with “CUT UP,” SAILORR is turning her gaze to the horizon as she prepares to release her debut project later this year.
