Tems Releases New Video “Boy O Boy”

Today, two-time GRAMMY® Award-winning, Oscar nominated, Lagos, Nigeria-based singer, songwriter, and producer Tems releases her new music video for “Boy O Boy” from her debut studio album “Born In The Wild” via RCA Records/Since ’93. Directed by Loris Russier and written by Tems herself, the B&W visual tells story of the pains and hardships in a relationship.

This comes on the heels of Tems making history as the first Nigerian artist – male or female – to win multiple Grammy awards. This year she walked away with a trophy at the 2025 Grammy Awards for Best African Music Performance for her single “Love Me JeJe.”

Tems has had an outstanding run since the release of her highly anticipated debut album “Born In The Wild” in June of last year. She recently released the visual for “Get It Right” featuring Asake directed by Laura Marciano and another official video for “Turn Me Up” directed by Loris Russier. At the end of last year, Tems earned three new GRAMMY® nominations for Best R&B Song (“Burning”), Best Global Music Album (Born In The Wild) and Best African Music Performance (“Love Me JeJe”) at the 67th Annual GRAMMY® Awards – winning the latter and making history.

Jackson. Additionally, Tems graced the cover of Essence for their September/October 2024 issue and delivered an incredible performance at NPR’s Tiny Desk.

Born In The Wild” has earned over 629M streams worldwide to date and debuted at No. 5 on the Billboard Top R&B Albums chart, while 13 tracks from the album notably debuted on the Billboard U.S. Afrobeats Songs chart. “Born In The Wild” also landed on multiple “Best Albums of 2024” lists including Rolling Stone, Billboard, NPR and more. In total throughout her career, Tems has garnered over five billion streams worldwide across all platforms.
