V Don Drops ‘Black Soprano Family’ Debut “Sent For”
Acclaimed producer V Don and Black Soprano Family (BSF) Records have joined forces to deliver a powerful new compilation album, “Sent For,” which is now available at all DSP’s. You can also watch V Don’s new “Fortunate” video as well.
“Sent For” brings together an elite lineup of lyricists, combining raw street storytelling with V Don’s masterful production.
“Sent For” is produced in its entirety by V Don and features appearances from Benny The Butcher, Lloyd Banks, Conway The Machine, Eto, Willie The Kid, Elcamino and Sule.
Each track on “Sent For” showcases top-tier bars, gritty realism, and the signature sound that has made BSF one of the most respected collectives in the game.
V Don is known for his signature dark and cinematic production, and he continues to push the envelope, crafting a sonic landscape that perfectly complements the raw lyricism of BSF and their collaborators. “Sent For” promises to be a must-listen for hip-hop purists and it adds another chapter to the legacy of one of hardest working teams in hip-hop.
“The theme of the album was inspired by a scene in the movie Donnie Brasco…Al Pachino’s character explains to Johnny Depp’s character when you get “Sent For” by the boss of the mafia, you can either be made a “made man” or you can be whacked” V Don explains.
“I thought that was a dope vibe to pull from…so all the tracks on the album have a grimy and cinematic backdrop to them and it went well with the collaboration with BSF too.”
V Don’s “Sent For” is now available via BSF Records.
